The seminar ‘Design for Business’ is a recurring event held during Wroclove Design Festival, which role is to present measurable market benefits resulting from the use of design. The aim of the seminar is to raise entrepreneurs’ awareness of design and provide them with practical knowledge of how to carry out design projects and collaborate with designers successfully.
The motto of the third edition of the Seminar, which will take place in May 2016, is ‘International Design’. Its participants will learn how design offices from Poland, Germany, Italy and Austria operate. Each country has its own design traditions and uses design in its economy to a various degree. On the basis of the case studies presented, the participants will learn how design helps to create innovation and build competitive advantage of companies from different countries and industries.
The success of the product on the international market is closely linked to its fit into the local culture and customer expectations. Designers are the best source of knowledge on this subject, because their core competence is deep understanding of users. Participation in the seminar will be an opportunity to learn the best international practices, gain knowledge about cultural differences in design and get acquainted with the global design trends.
